Copart is a Dallas-based vehicle reseller with locations in Reno and Las Vegas that provides for the movement, storage and transport of wholesale, undamaged, and damaged vehicles for auto insurers, rental car companies, charities, and other consigners. Copart has a long-standing and positive relationship with the Nevada DMV. Throughout this relationship, DMV has demonstrated a willingness to improve existing processes to benefit consumers. We have seen many times how they look at their external stakeholders as partners and work with them to ensure that they achieve an outcome where everyone wins. Most importantly, they do this in the best interest of the citizens of Nevada. We believe S.B. 29 is a great example of our partnership, where private industry and state government work together to create a secure, more efficient, and modernized relationship for sharing work. Specifically, with the processing of salvage titles, S.B. 29 allows salvage auctions to participate in the title transfer process in a secure environment that protects our customers with no decreased revenue for the state. This concept is mirrored after other states and has been proven as an effective option for over 20 years in some locations. We look forward to implementation in Nevada of this new process once S.B. 29 is enacted into law. This will reduce cycle times for salvage title transfers, increase efficiencies at both DMV and Copart and maximize the use of our limited real estate footprint.
