Welcome to the Silver Genetics Production Sale V. We have to admit that it doesn't seem likewe are on our 5th year at this. Boy, time sure flies living in Northwest Missouri. We want to thankour past buyers, as always, since this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for you.

We believe we have a very diverse offering this year. We will have five 18 month old bullsthis year with some being percentage. In our yearling line up we have many purebred Salers, two 1ARed Angus, and a handful of composite. Within in those there are homozygous black and calvingease bulls. A very wide offering to hopefully fulfill your needs is what we strive for. Our bulls havebeen fed the same type of ration as the past years consisting of silage, roughage, wet distillers andcorn. They have gained very well on the test so far. 2008 was a tough year on our weaning weightsdue to a very cold and wet winter and dry summer. We DNA tested our bulls through Igenity againthis year to gain additional information on them. We are still new at the DNA testing but feel our cat-tle have exceeded our expectations. For additional IGENITY Information see inside back cover of thiscatalog. All bulls will be pasture ready on sale day.

In our cow offering we have something we have never offered before. We will be selling somepregnant recipients, which we hate to part with since the embryo transfer part of Silver Spur is veryimportant to us. We are offering spring pairs as always along with some fall bred cows, fall bredheifers and open yearling heifers. Again, a wide variety on our female end as well.

With cow numbers dropping across the nation we hope we as cattleman still have a placehere. It can be a tough spell we go through at times but it will eventually pay off. SALE TERMS1. Inspection of cattle. All cattle will be available for inspection at the sale site beginning Saturday, March 21,

2009 at 12 pm. Prior to sale date cattle may be viewed at the ranch.

2. Terms. Cash. Please settle for cattle promptly. No animals will be permitted to be removed from thepremises until settlement is made.

3. Health. All bulls have been given 5X Lepto-Vibrio, IBR, BVD, PI3, BRSV, Pinkeye vaccinations, wormed andpoured and semen tested. All bulls will be PI BVD tested prior to sale. All females have been vaccinated thesame way. Health certificates will be furnished for shipment where needed. All cattle are on a Vita Fermmineral program.

4. Announcements. From the block will take precedence over information in the catalog.

5. Liability. All persons attending this sale do so at their own risk, legal or otherwise for their safety or thebehavior of the animals. The owners and auction service assume no liability for property loss or anyaccidents that may occur.

6. Insurance. Will be available sale day at the settlement office.

7. Purchasers Risk. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

8. Guarantee. All animals sold in this sale are guaranteed to be breeders, provided they are properly handledand cared for. If an animal fails to breed the seller must be notified within 6 months of sale date and shallhave 6 months to test the animal. Guarantee does not apply to sick or injured animals.
