Switching from wordpress to tumblr

WordPress TumblrThe switch from WordPress to Tumblr was both inevitable and easy. WordPress had given me

many counter-productive issues and hinderances, whereas Tumblr had been a very efficient and powerful tool for my AS blog work.

WordPress complexity

WordPress was very intimidating at first, and took a while to get used to. Obviously, you cannot judge something

based on a few hours experience, but time and time again it proved to be a slow process to get basic things done.

Tumblr simplicity

Arguably, Tumblr’s simplicity can have negative effects on the creative ability, but in my opinion, WordPress has only minimal advantages with this. Tumblr offers a much cleaner set-up and individual sections are easily found.

Problems with embedding

Tumblr was relatively easy and intuitive. Every embed code seems to work effortlessly. This is compared to WordPress,

which required discussion with colleagues and online tutorials to even open the html embed editor. Furthermore, WordPress failed to correctly display almost all embedded

material.

In summary, WordPress is clearly not the best choice for a efficient and powerful blog tool. I look forward to using Tumblr as I have done previously.
