I. Warm up : - Greet Ss and have them reply. - Let Ss sing the song “Ten little Indians” for fun.

II. New lesson .1. Look, listen and repeat.

- Ask Ss to identify the characters in the picture on page 66 and what they are saying.

- Set the scene “You are going to listen to the dialogue between Nam and his mother.”

- Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen as they look at the picture.

- Play the recording for Ss to listen and repeat each line of the dialogue.

- Play the recording one more time and ask students listen and repeat as they look at the dialogue on page 67. Correct pronunciation error(s) when necessary.

- Divide the class into two. Have them to repeat the Nam’s part and his mother’s part.

- Have Ss practice in pairs.- Ask some questions to check Ss’ comprehension of the

language- Elicit the structures:

Model: Click on each clock. Point to the fist clock and ask What time is it? Students may answer the question in Vietnamese Play the recording. Student listen and repeat (whole class,

in group and then individually) Then fill in the speech bubbles with the phrase promted by

the Ss Have Ss repeat both the question and answer. Repeat the step with some other pictures.- Ask Ss to practice asking and answering half and half- Have the students practice in pairs.- Monitor the activity and offer help. Correct pronunciation
