WHAT IS IT

• 2 vessel brewing system, designed for counter top brewing

• Comprised of an Electric kettle with mods

• A mash tun

• A “magic box” with permanently plumed Counterflow chiller and a Magnetic Drive Pump

WHY BOTHER?

• I was doing BIAB and this system is modelled after that

• Looking to automate more of the process

• Wanted to increase efficiency

• Looking to do more with the mash (sparge, recirculation etc)

• Biggest upgrade I could do while keeping things compact.

• Wanted a project and why the hell not?

WHERE DID IT COME FROM?

• Jeff Karpinski’s idea, based on the Brutus 10.

• BYO Article written on it

• His was based on an 11 litre system, designed for test batches.

HOW TO BUILD

• Mash Tun

• 1 tap

• 1 hot water stainless steel mesh hose.

• 1 x barb connected to a nipple, with either a hose or left open

HOW TO BUILD• Kettle

• 1 tap

• 1 2200w element

• 1 site glass

• 1 thermowell

• Return pipe (Male to female compression fitting), barb, copper pipe
