Note – Epson T200XL ink cartridges should only be refilled four to six times for Epson printers. If the
refill is not executed properly then the print quality will suffer and the printer could encounter issues.
So it’s not enough to buy an ink refill kit that’s compatible with the Epson 200 or 200XL cartridges, but
it’s also important to buy re-manufactured cartridges from reputable manufacture.
Materials Needed to Refill T200XL Ink Cartridges
Ink refill kit
A 30cc syringe with a sharp needle for injection (which should come with the kit)
Several lint-free cloths for cleaning
Clear tape for plugging the hole
Flat working surface
Plastic gloves to keep the hands clean
Tips for replacing ink cartridges
1) Refill the cartridges as soon as ink starts to fade, rather than waiting for the last color runs
dry. This avoids damage to the printer's print head.
2) Place a protective cap or septum plug onto the ink spout as soon as the cartridge is removed
from the printer to prevent leaking and prevent the sponge from drying out.
3) Replace cartridges as soon as possible after removing them to avoid the print head drying out.
A print head clean may be necessary.
6 Steps to refill your ink cartridge
1) Remove the refill plug
2) Open the ink bottle containing the color of the ink to refill and draw ink into the syringe.

3) Tilt the cartridge to allow the ink to flow towards the internal foam sponge, and slowly refill
the cartridge with the ink in the syringe.
4) Use the syringe and a grommet to ensure the ink soaks into the sponge.
5) Repeat the transfer of ink from the bottle to the cartridge until the cartridge is full.

6) Replace the refill plug and expose the air breather hole on the cartridge, and then reinstall the
cartridge.
