What our gift should beWe want the gift to be about
creating a personal memory for each one of the students in Korean
university and by that affiliating that memory to Northumbria
university . We want the gift to make them remember the gift for the personal enjoyment they get from the gift. This means the gift must be based on something that
the students can relate to, be it ceremonies or from popular
culture.

This is the popular culture when your in the city. With technology and

I think this all relates to escaping the city environment and

CONCEPT ONE
We plan to make a step by step Northumbria dance routine instruction video. Shot around various locations. Even though karaoke is Japanese it is very much part of Korean popular culture now. We think that this may be a way of making our gift relatable to the Korean students, but also demonstrating an activity that most people in Newcastle like; to go out and dance! We want various different people who create Northumbria University to participle in this amazing video to show that we are made of individuals. We want the students of the Korean university to have an individual enjoyable experience that they will remember.
We have based this concept on the blah blah mud festival. We want to send over mud from around our area with information about the places we took the mud from . The package will be sent before the festival as incentive to go to the festival and incorporate both mud's or they could use it to create their own replica festival.
CONCEPT TWO
In Seoul people go to the river to enjoy nature and get relief from the stress full city environment. In Newcastle we have a much more industrial view of the river and have constructed many steel bridges over it. This gift is designed demonstrate the difference between the two rivers. We will send them pictures and information about the bridges that cross the Tyne river and let them build a raft which has to be have some sort of similarity to one of the bridges. Students of Northumbria will then be the judge of which raft wins.
