The future is here. It’s right now. And it’s rather

exciting when you really stop and think about all of

the wonders that technology has procured in the

most recent years. These days, everything is

digital. TVs have become digital. Landlines have

become digital. The internet is digital. Your

smartphone is a digital solution. Music is digital.

Naturally, it makes sense that digital signs should

be at the forefront of signage solutions as well,

and here are a few popular reasons why.

Static signs often consist of paper or stock board

with expensive printing. There’s, among

numerous, a fallacy that exists here. For starters,

paper signs are not attractive. They are static.

They are not lit or fancy, either. They do little to

intrigue the mindset of the 21st century digital user.

But digital signs actually accomplish this goal

effortlessly and appeal to the advanced digital

mindset of the preset day person.

The consumer appeal aside – these signs are

more convenient for a few other reasons. Unlike

static signage, these signs can be updated in a

jiffy. Most can be accessed via direct control

panel, USB connection, and in some cases even

remotely via Wi-Fi. They are able to be updated

on the fly and in minutes to display different

images, text and even sound and video. They

won’t incur repeat printing and design costs, which

saves you money and time.

Another benefit of digital signs is that they can

feature a multimedia message. For example, they

can serve as informational hubs that promote new

product lines in stores. They can serve as access

portals for consumers, too. They can also serve as

menu displays in restaurants, and have a number

of other endless applications in multifarious

industry settings.

Once the primary cost of the signage is

absorbed, they are very low maintenance. Since

digital signs are made from quality materials, they

are designed to last for quite some time. A good

comparison would be to the screen on that laptop

or tablet computer you use; how often do you

recall those screens failing to work for you?

Chances are in favor of your patrons being more

inclined to the digital aesthetic than other

variations during the present day. Digital signs

easily answer the call for a more technologically

rich and saturating, attractive solution.

Considering that many of your patrons already

greatly rely upon similar digital devices (like

smartphones and tablets), it’s easy to understand

the wide swath of appeal that these signs have for

consumers.

No longer must signage remain static. That does

not even make sense any longer during the

present day. Why would a business continue to

pay money for printing and designs costs and the

wasting of paper and ink if they no longer had to

encumber that cost? The simple answer is: they

wouldn’t. As you can see, digital signs present a

wholehearted solution to the prevailing signage

issues of the present day.
