BANGALORE CITY'S CONTINUAL GROWTH AND EXPANSION HAS CAUSED AN EVER-INCREASING NUMBER OF HUMAN-WILDLIFE CONFLICTS,

MOST ENDING WITH THE ANIMAL BEING INJURED, ORPHANED, ABANDONED OR KILLED.

OFTEN, CITIZIENS COME ACROSS STRAY OR ABANDONED ANIMALS BUT CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THEM DUE TO LACK OF TIME, SPACES, MONEY, INFORMATION.

Malvika came across a baby squirrel on Tuesday, and decided to pick it up and care for it as it seemed abandoned.

She is a student and she can't be at home most of the time, however she loves animals. So as takes it to her room puts it in a warm place and leaves for college .

She has a vague ideas on animal care but no information that's primarily for squirrels.The risk here is that she won't know how to nurse it. Perhaps leading to many vet visits ,

abandonment or even in some cases losing the animal to illness.

Vijay works 8 hours a day and comes back home to be greeted by the strays on his street. He lives alone but finds company in the dogs. He came back one evening to find a new dog

being bullied by the rest of the strays and was hurt. Vijay checked the damage and managed to keep the strays away for a while

but he could not leave the dog alone or take him home and really hoped he could find a way for someone to care for it.

Kabini is a stay at home mother who has some time on her hands when everyone is away during the day. One morning she finds an injured parrot at the vegetable vendors. Immediately she picked it up but did not know where to take it or how to take care of it.

Never having had a pet she wasn’t sure about a vet she could visit. She began by looking up the net as to how to take care of the parrot but there seemed to be a large mix

of information. She picked the safest and went by instinct but was still nervous about her decisions. She was pretty sure she was going to keep the parrot if it wanted to stay but was

really hoping she could find someone to guide her with the process.
