Today plan
1. Report identified problems2. Select the most interesting problems for ideation3. Generate design ideas

Reporting Problems
Prototyping 4
Selecting the most interesting needs and forming groups
1. Select two problems that you would like to work on and write your name after them;
2. Form your groups on the base of common interest
3. Select a cool name for your group!
Prototyping 5
Generating ideas, 60 minutes
1. Your goal for this first step is to come up with 10 (or more) ideas (yes, you can!). While some of these ideas might be related to each other, you should strive for generating a diverse range of ideas, from simple ones to others that do not seem feasible
2. At the end please report your results
6
Prototyping 7
Use the Following Constraints/Prompts (try to generate 2-3 ideas using each constraint):
1. What are the most obvious solutions for this problem? (even things that you know already exist)
2. What can you add, remove or modify from those initial solutions?
3. How would a 5-year-old child solve the problem?4. How would you solve the problem if you had an unlimited
budget?5. How would you solve the problem without spending any
money?6. How would you solve this problem if you had control over
the laws of nature (think invisibility, teleportation, etc.)?

Report and Select the Best Design Idea
• Report your ideas to others• On the base of audience feedback try to select
one final design idea which your team will work on
• Try to provide feedback to other teams to help them identify the best idea
9
The task for home
• Create group document in Google Drive folder here:
https://goo.gl/LIWXIv
• Report your today’s team findings
