Design Philosophy:

Create and innovate products/packaging that will compel consumers to purchase and become part of their daily lives. Products/packaging need to create attention at POP to grab the consumer’s attention and after purchase it should fulfill their needs; met and unmet. Leading the product/package to be repurchased.

Design Philosophy:

An innovative product and package design should support clearpositive communications of the brand position and value, generating a broad multi-cultural appeal for the brand.

It should also leverage the advantages of technologies (related and non- related) that can make the product unique at retail; including materials,manufacturing capabilities and market trends.

Work Ethic:

I am fully focused to a task given. In addition, I am also an advocate in exploring established and new technologies introducing them into the design process which can produce the best product or solution available.

I have done extensive work in consumer research ; “one on one” consumer interviews and moderating and facilitated consumer studies domestically and internationally, which enables me to be an asset to Market andProduct Research.

Package Design

Kraft Mayonnaise Package

Designed and created a new mayonnaise

package that is functional; easy dispensing and

better storage at home and at retail.

Frito-Lay (Pepsico)Snack Canister

I was part of Market Research

and package design program for

a snack offering targeted to the

youth market (12 – 25 yrs).

Conducted the in-home

interviews and facilitated focus

group sessions.

Colgate-PalmoliveSoft Soap Dispenser

Created a new design and language for the

“Soft Soap” brand which is now an iconic

image at retail.

Smucker’s Inverted BottleThe Smucker’s Brand wanted to create

an exciting package to be seen at retail

but importantly easy to use functionality

by the consumer. The design was

incorporated to other Smuckers Brands.

Smirnoff Beverage Bottle

Smirnoff wanted to create a mixed beverage line for the

Global Market; leveraging their brand and product. The

design had to reflect their larger spirit glass bottles.

Product eventually went on to the European Market.

NairConceptual Depilatory Products

Conceptual project on what the next generation of

Nair’s Depilatory product line. It had to be distinctive

at retail along with the added recognizable features

and formulations for the user.

“Ergo” Package Roll-On with Swiping Blade Hardening Gel in Aerosol Container Double Formulation

2 part Formulation

Oxi-Clean Gel Stick

Oxi-Clean Brand created a new “gel”

formulation for pre-treating stained

clothes for laundry washing. They

required a new functional package that

would deal with stains thoroughly.

I helped in creating a package that

allowed for better stain treatment

application.

Irish Spring Body Wash

Colgate-Palmolive

Colgate-Palmolive wanted the Irish Spring Brand a new

bottle to evoke a fresh “masculine look”, while promoting

the different scents; which I designed and introduced for

the line.

Absolut Brand Innovation Program

To identify innovative new product concepts that will augment Absolut’s existing pipeline and support the brand’s new US Call to Action:

Kraft Velveeta Cheese Package

Conceptual project on what the next

generation of Velveeta Cheese packaging

should be. It had to recognizable at retail

with added functional features for the user.

Gatorade “SUB” BottleSports Utility Bottle

Conceptual Design Program that allowed

Gatorade to be taken and dispensed from

easily anywhere by the consumer.

Prototypes were made but never went into

production.

Mennen Spray Deodorant

Colgate-Palmolive

This was a conceptual project for the “Mennen

Spay Deodorant brand” which infused the use of

rubber skin/texture during the manufacturing

process of spray package. This included the

forming of the metal canister. My job was to

create aesthetically pleasing variations for the

actuator and spray can with this new technology.

Central Garden and Lawn ProductsAndro “Pest & Weed” System

Central Garden wanted to create a “Pest and

Weed” system that allows the user to operate

their line of products easily. I managed the

project and designed concepts that eventually

came to be manufactured and sold at retail.

Conceptual project on what the next generation of

Black & Decker’s “Platinum” product line should

be. It had to recognizable at retail along with the

added functional features for the user.

Cordless Car Jack

Ott-Lite Student LampOtt-Lite is a lamp and lighting company that

creates efficient lighting for the home and

office use; homeowners/students who need

lighting for the various tasks. I designed the

final concept for retail and earlier thoughts

shown below.

Haier RefrigeratorHaier is a world-wide manufacturer of refrigerators.

This project was a study in “American Taste and

Needs” to be incorporated in new line of

refrigerators they were introducing.

I helped manage and designed the concepts

shown below.

Ingrid HousewaresPlastic Beverageware

Designed Plastic Beverageware and

Graphics for Ingrid Houseware for

the Spring and Summer Season.

Congoleum“Kwik-Set” Tile Display

Congoleum introduced a new ceramic tile

system for the DIY market which was to be

place in smaller retail venues. The POP

designs had to show the needed information for

the consumer to make the “right choice”. Final

concept was based on my sketches.

MasterBrandsPOP Environment

MasterBrands is cabinet maker for

the home. They wanted to create

an exciting retail environment

which informed and helped the

potential buyer to make easier

choices and purchase.

I helped design and organize the

display elements for final

presentation.
