Cutting Instructions(cut in order listed)Black solid 1 square 10H˝ x 10H˝Assorted red prints cut 1 matched set of: 2 strips 1H˝ x 12H˝ 2 strips 1H˝ x 10H˝ cut a total of: 8 Template B Orange mottle 1 Template A
Making the Block 1 Referring to Diagram I, sew 2 matching red 10H˝ strips to sides of black solid 10H˝ square. Sew matching 12H˝ strips to top and bottom to make framed square.
Note: Templates A and B are printed without seam allowance.
2 Finger press framed square in half on length, width, and both diagonals; use folds as placement guide. Referring to Diagram II, position orange A in center of square as shown. Arrange red Bs around orange A so that hearts just touch one another. Appliqué all in place.
