On Site OfficersOur studio has three officers that are here to help
Safety Rep. ~ Zac Pieman
In charge of Hazard control, assault, power outs and
acting on risk reports
Fire Rep. ~ Tyson Sharp
In charge of fire emergency procedures
First Aid Officer ~ Lillie Dance
In charge of all accidents and associated reports
Safety Procedures Use the timesheet to sign in and out at the start and end
of each shift
When lifting use correct lifting methods to reduce risk of injury
Use tools and equipment for intended purposes only
Only use equipment if you have completed the necessary training
Use Personal Protective equipment when necessary
Our studio is a smoke free zone, please use the designated smoking area and ashtrays provided
Emergency Procedures
In case of Fire call 000 A fire alarm will sound All staff are to report to
the Fire Safety Rep in the designated meeting place
In a Medical Emergencies call 000Report to the First Aid Officer
You will be directed with what to do next
Study the Map in the staffroom of all emergency exits
Risks and Risk ControlWhen using a computer and sitting for a long time, eliminate the risk of injuries by taking regular breaks and following office ergonomics
When reading paper documents use a document holder, this will reduce the risk of eye strain and strain on the neck through less head tilting and turning
Reduce the risk of stress by having a clean and tidy workstation, improve your work area by using correct lighting and well designed furniture
Eliminate the risk of fire – Read labels and educate yourself with the correct use and storage procedure for each chemical in the studio
Make us AwareReport the risk All risks must be verbally reported immediately to the Safety Rep. You will then be given a Risk form to fill out and return
Safety Meetings Safety Meetings will be held each Monday morning at 8:45am before
starting work It is compulsory for all staff to attend
Safety Drop Box
You can find the drop box outside the staff room. This is for you to drop notes of any non urgent concerns or suggestions in at any time. Any items will be brought to discussion at the weekly Safety Meeting.
