Costume and props• I decided to have my model in all black

formal clothing as not only does it make it face stand out due to the high contrast between his skin town and his clothing.

• In addition to this Black in western culture often resembles what we fear and the darker side of man which is great in the case as Filip will be playing the role of criminal/ assassin in my movie trailer with his character being inspired by ViggoMortensen in Eastern Promises.

• I have also taken some shots with the main movie prop which is a holdall bag which would contain the money that the protagonist had discovered in the forest.

As noticeable from the shadow formed on the left side of my model I was using lighting for this picture.

This image was based of my sketch for this part of my project and although it meets all criteria set my magazine sketch, I am not sure that this will be the image that I will be using for my magazine front cover.

The down side to these images is the facial expression on my model and this is why I would use the mid long shots on the next slide.

I liked these 5 mid long shots of my model as if I were to use them in my magazine front cover it would provide me with space for my sell lines plus the inspiration from my research on sight and sound magazine front covers is very clear with this shot.I also like the chiaroscuro as the left hand side of my model is much darker.

Page 7: Magazine front cover photoshoot

This close up of my model was taken using the camera flash and follows all of the conventions of movie magazine as the it’s a close up of my model with the him in the centre of the frame and looking directly into the camera.

Page 8: Magazine front cover photoshoot

This image was inspired by the sight and sound front cover of Michael Fassbender in which the model is looking at the camera from a angel and the lighting only hitting on side of his face.

Page 9: Magazine front cover photoshoot

I would not use this photo since even though the lighting is great, the image looks like the model is about to laugh and so would not fit the convention of the genre and the fact that he is looking away subverts the convention of looking directly at the reader.

Page 10: Magazine front cover photoshoot

I would not use this image of a close up for my magazine front cover as we see the model with his eyes half closed.

Page 11: Magazine front cover photoshoot

I like this image as the Chiaroscuro lighting that I used further adds the level of darkness and mystery to the character.

Page 12: Magazine front cover photoshoot

The difference between this image and the other is that was taken from a low angel to and a level of power and status to my model as high is a violent and dangerous criminal.

Page 13: Magazine front cover photoshoot

These two mid shots are very similar with both have been taken using the camera flash and the model being in the same position. The difference between these images is that the one on the left has the model in the centre while the other has the model slightly to the right as seen in the sight and sound front cover with Sofia Coppola.

Page 14: Magazine front cover photoshoot

This image is blurry and I do not like the expression on the models face because of this I would not use this as a possible magazine front cover.

These 4 images contain the holdall bag prop and are more experimental shoots which I am not planning to use in my magazine front cover.
