Information Overload: HOW  TO  SWITCH  OFF  AND  TAKE  CONTROL

ON OFF

Information is everywhere, coming from every imaginable source.

I realized I was filling my brain with lots of (mostly useless) things.

v

I stretch my body with yoga. So I asked myself...

What am I doing to stretch my mind?

I decided to put a plan in placeto create new habitsand stretch my mind on a dailybasis with fun new activities.

Meditate

I  have  been  meditating  daily  now  for  a  few  months.

I  find  calm,  peace  and  clarity  during  the  meditation.  As a result, I am able to think creatively and solve complex issues.

Learn something new everyday

Each  day  I  set  aside  15  minutes    to  learn  something  new.  I  keep  up  with

market  trends,  read  the  latest  social  media  or  SEO  techniques,  watch  a  TED  Talk,  or

review  a  tutorial.

Dance

Although  you  won't  find  me  on  Dancing  with  the  Stars,  I  love  to  dance  at  least  4  times  a  week.  Remembering  all  the  various  dance  steps  actually

helps  me  both  mentally  and  physically.

Journaling

I  use  the  Day  One  App  several  times  a  week.  I  write  a  recap  of  the  previous  few  days  and  then  attach  an  image  that  sums  up  my

thoughts  and  feelings.

New challenge

I plan to continually challenge myself, so next on my list

is to learn a new language.  I  plan  on  using  the  Duolingo  App  to  help  improve  and expand   my  Spanish vocabulary.

How  do  you  stretch  your  mind?    Please  share  your  tips.
