“Overall the Happiness Table is very solid reflective research on companies'
purpose, process and culture, and how they affect people/employees as well as the
success of the company. On top of that the framework and especially the tools to
improve "happiness" are really good. The only thing I could advice you with
is the scope of the research. The Happiness Table is massive – only doing a
research on companies' processes is bigger than a PhD topic if it's not tied into a
certain company. Therefore, I wished you would have digged deeper into a one
aspect, because I feel that you have some kind of researcher living inside you :)”

“Well, I'm finally digging into you excellent project and find you have given
me an overwhelmingly flattering plug--you are too kind. It seems you ended
up asking the right questions of Hayley. Her responses are gold--its as if she
is on the Hyper payroll. No seriously, she really lays out what is helpful and
what is hindering. And to me the helpful things are all happiness. Really,
really enjoying the airy way you write and first person narrative. I
can hear your voice and it all fuels empathy for you observations.
So well done... at chapter 4 now, but will carry on and report back. I hope
you are enjoying your freedom now that she is dusted--good show!”

“Hey Thomas. I've just discovered and been reading your stories in and around your
project, 'The Happiness Table', on medium. Fascinating to read, your thoughts
and beliefs are inline with many of my own and with every chapter I
read they further reinforced the need for me to share my story. The reason
why I've emailed you is because I've been working on my project for 8 weeks and it's
a called 'The Happiness Blanket' (I, too, changed the title countless times). I've spent
the last 18 months laying 'The Happiness Blanket' over our small family business,
with truly unbelievable results. It's only now that I've got around to starting to
publish THB so that I can share the journey, and help others to do the same.”

The SCARF Game
“Holacracy is a real-world-tested social technology. One of its pillars is about removing
tensions. Anyone who senses a tension can process it into organizational evolution.
People become the sensors of a conscious organization, driving its continual evolution.”
Are you driven by status, certainty, autonomy, relatedness or fairness?
The SCARF Game
Get together with your start-up team.
!
Reflect for 5 minutes on each team member’s biggest driver. Who is driven by status?
Who by certainty? Autonomy? Relatedness? Fairness?
!
Also have a think about your own biggest driver.
!
Get back together and give each other feedback, preferably one on one. Tell why you’ve
given each other this specific driver.
!
Rotate.
Any feedback for me?
