Choosing the perfect women’s
swimsuit may not be quite as
straight forward as you think, but
with a little bit of know-how, it can
be a lot of fun. Swimsuits, just like
women, come in many different
shapes and sizes. So, when shopping
for swimsuits, it's important to find
the shape and style that suit your
body shape.
Many women feel more than a little
self-conscious to strip off to their
swimwear in public, but knowing
that you have chosen a swimsuit that
flatters your shape can help to give
your confidence a real boost.
If you have more than your fair share
of "muffin top", "middle aged
spread", "love handles" or whatever
else you want to call it, then you
need to choose a swimsuit that
doesn't emphasize the fact. One
great option is a tankini - it's a two
piece (like a bikini) but with a larger
vest like top that covers all of the
wobbly bits in the middle. You can
often find a choice of bottoms to go
with these flattering tops.
The Battle of the Belly
Bulge
People with a smaller chest may like
to flatter it, whereas women with a
larger chest may prefer to flatten it.
Fortunately, there's a swimsuit
suitable for all women. You can
enhance a smaller chest using a
halter top with perhaps a few ruffles
for added volume, whereas ladies
with a larger chest should choose a
swimsuit that has plenty of added
support. Many swimsuits provide the
same amount of support as regular
bras. If you are self-conscious about
your large chest, then pick solid, dark
colours to try and hide the size.
Flattering Your Chest
There are lots of swimsuits available, which are perfectly suitable for plus-
sized ladies. The best idea is to stick to dark, solid colours and a V-neck
line. Some one-piece swimsuits have extra support panels built in, which
can really help to re-shape your curves, holding you in where you need a
little extra help. Some swimsuits have a flattering boy-leg cut, which may
help the large ladies to feel comfortable too.

Swimsuit Fabrics
We've spoken a little about the colours and styles of swimsuits, but it is
also important to choose good fabrics. Many modern swimsuits are
manufactured using sun protection materials, which can be a real boost
and is a great tip for when you choose your next swimsuit.
It is important to remember to
protect yourself from the harmful
rays of the sun as much as possible.
Always apply lots of sun cream at
least a half hour before you go
outside and re-apply regularly every
couple of hours or so and after you've
been swimming.
Another great advice is to match your
swimsuit with some sort of cover up
for a little added protection while
helping to keep you cool and safe
from the sun - a sun hat is essential
as are a pair of sunglasses. You could
also pick out a nice sarong, which can
give added protection and make you
feel even more comfortable about
stripping off in the sunshine.
