Bold mast head- same logo each time but varies in color theme.

You will notice that not all the sub text is left aligned like other magazines. This is because ASOS magazine is delivered to your door if you are a member of the online site. It is not sold in shops.

It is not to to busy but still eye catching. There is a theme (red, black and grey).

Only about 4 different fonts used on the cover. Varying in size.

Date and issue.

ASOS Magazine is a print based media version of the online fashion website. It is mainly high-street brands and prices, however includes some designer more high end items, I think this does reflect in the appearance of the front cover. It is eye catching however still colour coordinated and chic.

ASOS magazine is free to people who subscribe and use the ASOS website. ASOS is an online fashion store with a monthly magazine. The website is mainly high-street brands and I think this does reflect in its appearance. In comparison to the printed magazine version of the website, they are both very stylish and they use the same logo for each. I have noticed from carrying out this research that most of the websites are simplistic with colour and font, however the splashes of colour are all from the images used.

Mast head is always in the same place the same size and font, however varies in colour with each issue.

You can automatically tell by the choice in image, colour and font that this magazine is high fashion, and all about style.

Model on the front cover is from a medium close up view, the top half of her body is in the shot.

Vogue is one of the most famous women's fashion magazine in the world. And without reading it you can tell by everything on the front cover that its at the more expensive end of the market, and its all about high fashion. I love the image on this example of a vogue cover, its so eye catching.

Here is a screen grab of the corresponding website to the Vogue magazine front cover. In comparison to the print based copy of vogue it still has the same effect on its user, it appears very classy and is clear its all about designers and high fashion, as recent fashion show for past and present shows are available to view through video and image format. The Logo is exactly the same as it is on the magazine cover, however left aligned, the layout is similar to most websites available, as links to other pages align the top of the page and ‘the latest news’ fall down the middle with a small subtext.

The mast head is a different style font and it has a exclamation mark in it.

There are a lot of different fonts throughout the front cover, and the colours chosen are eye catching however do not compliment each other.

You can tell by the image used and the other images throughout the cover, that this magazine is cheaper and 100% high street.

This example of a women's fashion magazine is the complete opposite to the other examples I have researched. You can tell by everything used to create the front cover that is is high-street. In comparison to the other magazine covers, this one has other smaller images placed onto the original cover image of ‘Lily Allen’ the other covers only have one image- this does make it appear a lot cheaper, however may appeal to a younger market in the UK.

Here is a screen grab of ‘more!’ magazine online. There are similarities with the layouts of the websites, however this style is completely different. It appears so much cheaper and looks completely high street. Instead of keeping it very simplistic and having the only eye catching sectors be the images, there is too much colour and pattern. I don’t want my website or magazine cover to have this same effect. I want it to be stylish and simplistic.
