Cooling systems in compact buildings
ContentIntroductionNeed for studyAlternative types by designconclusion
COOLING IN HOUSES CAN BE ACHIEVED BY TWO METHODS
NATURAL OR ACTIVE COOLING PASSIVE COOLING
Design of a compact house for
cooling
THE COOLING IS DONE BY CHANGING THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DESIGN OF THE
HOUSEPLANTING TREESELEVATION OF ROOFFLOORINGDESIGN OF THE ROOF
Active cooling
Planting trees
Nature – god’s gift
Vegetation should be always 2 m away from the house
Keep windows open at morning
Keep a garden in front of the house
Built the houses little away form the road
Be friendly to the environment
Elevation and overhanging in roofs
•By increasing the height of the roof the heat radiation is limited
Overhanging in roofing limites the sun radiation to enter inside the house
The roofing should absorb less heat as possible
HVAC system(heating ventilating and air conditioning )
Automatic close and open valve , which use the heat and cool from the environment
In day – valve closed
In night – valve open
Flooring and radiant method
Clay tiles is better
Radiant method-flooring in concret by placing tubes for cooling
Rubber tubes
Case- holes are maded
Design of roof
The top design is modified to cooling of the building
The slope of the roof is varied so the space produced due to variation is filled by windows
This windows allow free air to flow inside the house
Design of roof
If the slope angle is varied by 300-450
450 covers all the sunlight for solar panel
300 covers the wind to enter inside the house
Solar panel is placed all over the roof to make energy efficient
COOLING DONE BY ARTIFICIAL MEDIUM SUCH US
AIR COOLERSEVAPORATIVE OR SWAMP COOLERSL IGHT COLORED PAINTSUSING LESS ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS
Passive cooling
THUS THE COOLING IN BUILDING IS ACHIEVED BY NATURAL AND PASSIVE
NATURAL COOLING IS ECO FRIENDLY
AND CAN BE USED IN COMPACT HOUSES EFFECTIVELY
Conclusion
