1. POST PRODUCTION MEETING

This meeting is a check point for all parties that are involved in the post production process. The aim is to ensure a smooth workflow and make sure that all the formats used match each other and if not what has to be done.

The presence of the Producer, DOP (and/or camera assistant) Director, Sound Recorder, Sound DesigneSound Designer, Post Production house representative, Sound Mixer, Kuvaussihteeri.

All these people need to bring with them a technical factsheet to make sure everybody is on the same page.

2. FILM TO DIGITAL CONVERSION

Aim to create copies in 2 formats:

1. Digibeta material without timecode and footnotes in the image.

2. BetaSP or DVCam copy with same digital timecode than digibeta plus timecodeand and footnotes visible in the image. This is used e.g. for dialog list.

If jammed timecode is used in camera and sound recorder, ask for Flex file or ATN file for digital conversion

Return all film material to recycling. If you want to keep the originals you need to pay for the expense of the film material.

Film negatives are archived in ELO laboratory or in department. Tele-cine files are archived by ELO or by a post production partner.
