Urban Cape Interiors offers an innovative and inspirational interior and furniture design service specialising in both the residential and commercial sectors.

Established in 2003 by Charlotte Candillier, the firm’s focus is on design excellence and progressive thinking.

The company began by offering a unique collection of beautifully hand-crafted furniture from a retail showroom based on London’s exclusive New Kings Road. The success of the showroom led to the company’s expansion and by 2004 a full interior design and refurbishment service was offered. Urban Cape has accumulated a wealth of experience in the disciplines of Interior Architecture, Furniture Design and Project Management.

Charlotte Candillier – Director

Combining her entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen Charlotte Candillier is the creative driving force behind Urban Cape. Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Business degree and has extensive project management experience and expertise. As a result, she has a great understanding of how critical it is to investigate, analyse and plan before conceptualising ideas. Charlotte is responsible for the final execution of design projects and the development and delivery of Urban Cape’s unique furniture collection.

Charlotte strives to develop interior spaces with a underlying classic style that is timeless and survives the passage of design trends. She is committed to coordinating the design efforts on budget. Her organised and well-managed approach consistently exceeds the clients’ expectations.

Sarah Radhanauth - Lead Designer, Architectural Interiors

Our award winning lead designer is Sarah Radhanauth. After graduating from the exclusive and highly regarded Western Australian School of Art, Design & Media. Sarah gained extensive experience working as a commercial interior designer at the heart of design in Perth’s Central Business District.

Initially leaving Australia to travel, Sarah established herself in London and her energies became focused on teaching interior design at an academy for art & design in London. Since joining Urban Cape in 2007, Sarah has proven her dedication to creating working and living environments that operate more efficiently and improve quality of life. She constantly challenges herself to find cost effective and innovative solutions to design problems.

Our approach encourages you to develop your ideas and own unique personal style. By incorporating our broad knowledge and experience we guide you to make the right decisions whist interpreting your ideas. Whatever your tastes may be, our focus is to work in partnership with you to create a functional space that compliments your personality and lifestyle or the ethos of your business.

We have significant relationships with trusted specialist consultants, contractors and suppliers and we partner with those who share our vision in order to deliver inspirational environments.

An example of this success was a complete interior design and refurbishment project for a villa in the South of France. Upon completion the development sold for four times the original purchase price. This was achieved by offering a flexible approach to budget and time frame.

Our method is remarkably cost-effective making tight deadlines manageable. When building works are required, we collaborate with trusted builders and other specialist consultants to provide the right blend of skills and resources to the project.

The most complex of problems is matched with the most elegant of solutions. Each crucial stage of the project is identified from the start. Nothing is left to chance. We set goals to be reached by a specific date with an uncompromising delivery of a quality result.

O U R M E T H O D

D E S I G N S T A G E SPhase 1: The Brief: We visit you at your home or business to view the spaces and to sit down with you to discuss what your design requirements are and what you would like to achieve. This visit is free of charge and you are under no obligation to proceed with us. Phase 2:Proposal: We will compile a design proposal and document the areas discussed in the initial meeting. We can also provide a brief guideline of costs to suit your budget and outline our design fee.

Phase 3:Concept Development: If you decide to proceed with Urban Cape, we will then return for a second visit to survey the site, taking all the necessary measurements and photographs required. We then commence the next stage of the design process and provide you with a concept for the space. This will include images of furniture & accessories, samples of fabrics and paint swatches etc. to get a better feel of the style and colours you like.

Phase 4:Design Development: We further develop our initial ideas and provide you with a full estimate of cost. Additional services available to you include the production of mood boards and Auto Cad drawings if required. Rest assured when making final selections and ordering goods, we only proceed upon approval from you. If required we can assist you will all aspects of project management. Phase 5:Project Completion: Once all aspects the brief have been finalised, we come to your home to dress the space, co-ordinate furniture placement and add the finishing touches.

Phase 6:Not only will the capital value of your property be raised, you will have a gorgeous new interior space to be proud of. Conducive to easy living and entertaining, you are sure to become the envy of all of you friends.

D E S I G N F E E SWe operate on either a per room basis and charge a small fee for our interior design services, or charge a percentage of the overall project spend. This covers the initial time spent researching options and obtaining costing for the project. We will then work to your budget and will provide you with a complete outline of expected costs.

You will never pay more than retail price for furniture and accessories sourced by us and another benefit of working with Urban Cape Interiors is that we aim to pass on trade discounts wherever possible.
