Simple Drag & Drop operations are sufficient with completely text based operations without the obligation to have a graphical environment. This approach is called "Conceptual Engineering". Conceptual EngineeringCADISON® Project-Engineer is your tool for design, calculationand detailing of your plant by adding all required components(objects) to the project while taking them from the catalogue. Sim-ple Drag & Drop operations are sufficient with completely textbased operations without the obligation to have a graphical envi-ronment. This approach is called “Conceptual Engineering”.

The target of CADISON® Project-Engineer is to provide the userwith data for calculation without large efforts and already at a veryearly time.

Dynamic Cooperation with different DisciplinesCADISON® offers different disciplines to the users, such as processengineering, project management, planning, design, electrical engi-neering and calculation, so that a common data pool is alreadyavailable for work on the same project in a very early projectphase.

No RedundancyAll information – independent of the workplace where they aregenerated or modified – is directly deposited in the project. Con-sequently, it is sufficient to depict the object information (e.g. the

nominal delivery rate of a pump) only once, and subsequently it is immediately available to all users. It is irrelevantwhether or not the modification is made on the object in the plant structure tree, in the P&I diagram, in the 3D lay-out plan, in the electric circuit diagram or in another module. In case one user of the above pump adds a parame-ter (e.g. the nominal delivery rate) another user may adapt the nominal diameters of connections accordingly.

All different modules incorporate only “another mode of consideration” of the project. The concept of object-orienteddatabase ensures 100 % data consistency and offers the strategic advantage of dynamic work in project groups.

CADISON® combines the engineering workflow in one system and thus significantly accelerates the planning pro-cesses. All users can see on their workplaces - either graphically or as schematic, as 3D model or text-based in atree structure – the same data and objects in each case so that they can be optionally used and modified on all work-places through simple Drag & Drop.Data and/or objects are existing once only. Thus errors as a result of redundant data management are excluded. Thesophisticated right system ensures that tasks are handled selectively. Modifications introduced by other users areimmediately made available to all other users. The continuity of the individual work steps in one object-orienteddatabase forms the core of the CADISON® technology. CADISON® uses the widespread platformsAutodeskAutoCADor Microsoft Visio for graphical presentations.

Plant ConceptionCADISON® Project-Engineer helps the projectengineer to design a specific plant. A number ofquestions must be answered, such as:· Which are the mass balances?· Which fluids shall be used?· Which core components shall be included in theplant?· What is the basis for plant structuring?· Which components are required?· Which equipment is required?· Which pipelines shall be included in design?

The above data is used and inserted by Drag &Drop in the structure tree and supplemented bydetail information, if applicable. Data may be furt-her developed and detailed at a later date oreven in parallel already e.g. in P&ID-Designer or3D-Designer. CADISON® allows you to take yourown decision on the method and selection ofmodule for project processing.

Project Calculation and TenderingComplete project calculation up to final tender preparation is directly possible from CADISON® Project-Engineer.Even calculated values may be added to the actual technical data and information. Said calculation data can becalled up either as fixed cost items or calculated through time objects. The deposited data can be summarized assingle, group or project items. Capital structures can be developed and used for direct support in the tender plan-ning stage through use of self-defined text modules.

Independent Report GeneratorAll data prepared with CADISON® Project-Engineer may be put out through the integralreport generator in most different forms and for-mats. For example, such data could be a list ofvalves and fittings or an advance payment sothat the required quantity structure can be cal-culated. All reports can be revised and haverelease mechanisms. Reports are directly sto-red within the CADISON® Project.
