AR & Associates is an architects’ practice& interior design company based in Mumbai.

We work on a wide variety of projects, from restaurants & hotels, bars, offices, shops & leisure centres; to houses. Stage One – INSPIRATION

Design Process:-

To discover what makes any particular site unique and unite that with the clients aspirations we conduct a workshop at the site over a few days..

Sketches, programs, plans are drawn and presented during this time and the basic idea is agreed with the client and their key decision makers.

A deep understanding by all is formed in a short period of time.

Stage Two – CONCEPT DESIGN

The basic idea is developed and a package of drawings is presented that explains the overall design. Three dimensional views, freehand plans and sketches as well as area programs describe the project.

Stage Three – SCHEMATIC DESIGN

The freehand concept moves into a more technical stage with electronic drawings. This means that the other key designers and experts inform the design including hotel operators, engineers, interior designers and landscape architects.

New Delhi: Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company, has announced the signing of its 42nd Radisson hotel in India, the 117-room Radisson Hotel Kandla. This is Carlson's fourth hotel in Gujarat. The $15-million Radisson Hotel Kandla is owned by Rajvee Resorts & Hotels Pvt Ltd. The hotel is scheduled to open in the first half of 2012."Carlson's robust growth in India aligns with our Ambition 2015 plans to have more than 1,500 hotels globally by 2015," said Simon C. Barlow, president, Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific, during the signing ceremony at the Hotel Investment Conference South Asia in Mumbai this week. "This latest hotel signing brings our Radisson portfolio in India to 42 hotels, with 15 hotels currently in operation and 27 hotels under development," he added.The Radisson Hotel Kandla is close to Kandla port, a major maritime hub in Gandhidham city. It is an important trade center for India, particularly with the salt industry in Gandhidham accounting for 40 percent of the country's salt production. The region has been witnessing business growth and a steady influx of corporate travellers."We are pleased to bring our vibrant, contemporary and engaging Radisson brand to Gandhidham city," said K.B. Kachru, executive vice president, Carlson Hotels, South Asia.The Radisson Hotel Kandla is designed by Alhad Raje & Associates, a leading Mumbai based architectural firm.All the hotel rooms will feature a contemporary style accentuated by designer furnishings. Guest facilities will include a swimming pool, a fully equipped health club and spa. Dining options will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty Indian restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also be equipped with a business center, a banquet hall and three meeting rooms.
