Limits scope for resiliency/can make architecting for resiliency more expensive

Customers with a requirement for a strong IaaS Platform

Benefits:

Broad design strategies = economies of scale

Resiliency and performance benefits at economic price point not achievable by dedicated

Future proofed infrastructure –take advantage of future capabilities sooner

Caveats/Limitations:

Standardised hardware reduces scope to customise to customer specific requirements

Cannot be used for VDI scenarios due to licensing issues
