RECOMMENDATIONS
1. This study focused only on the frequency of the politeness strategies and the Gricean maxims in an interview. Future researchers could use this study as a reference and expand it through adding another variable.
2. Future researchers could also have one-on-one interview segments on a particular topic as their data. They can obtain data through written interviews like interviews from newspaper columns or articles aside from video clipping on interviews found on YouTube.
3. An application of Brown and Levinson’s politeness strategies and Gricean maxims in forums, debates, phone conversation and even variety of sent letters and messages are encouraged to see the similarities and dissimilarities of this study and establish patterns.
