large Internet companies like Google, Facebook, Research In Motion,

Taiwan-based app developer and part of accelerator AppWorks family,
announces the launch of its TV drama streaming app for the
Indonesian audience called Dramot. If the app gets good traction in

29. Shakeys, one of the leading Pizza chains in the
Philippines, has appointed Mobext as its new digital agency of
record, following a review of its communications strategy for the
next two years. Mobext is the first and only pure play mobile
marketing agency, It is now present in nine Asian markets, namely
India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam,
China, and Australia. 30. Lowe Indonesia will partner with PT
Indofood Sukses Makmur brand Qtela, to market a new range of
snacks. The win comes on the heels of Lowe Indonesia's successful
retention of marketing duties for Indofoods' iconic instant noodle
brand, Indomie.

Smartphone buying
Indonesias airlines social media (INFOGRAPHIC) The data was
analysed from January 1 2013 to March 31 2014. As a strong regional
player, AirAsia tops five out of the seven social media platforms
in Indonesia. Yet the national airline Garuda Indonesia has the
greatest number of engaged fans in total. Compared to last years
data, Garuda Indonesia is the biggest gainer, growing its Facebook
fan-base by 700 percent while its Twitter followers increased

Qraved: Jakarta diners spent $1.5 billion on dining out in 2013
(INFOGRAPHIC) Indonesias social dining directory and online
reservation service Qraved today published a fun infographic about
food more specifically, about Jakarta citizens dining behavior. The
infographic reveals just how social Jakarta diners are. These
diners are most active on Twitter, followed by Facebook, Instagram,
and then Path. These users made an approximate 40 million online
searches about restaurants to dine at food promotions in 2013. To

Survey : Who will gain from Indonesias e-commerce big bang?
According to a new survey carried out by Google Indonesia and
research firm TNS, half of Indonesias non-online shoppers
anticipate making their first online purchase within the next 12
months. This follows Februarys report from eMarketer, which
projected 45% sales growth for e-commerce in Indonesia this year.
There are already 75 million middle class and affluent consumers in
Indonesia and around 75 million Internet users. In 2014 alone,
Indonesia is projected to add 39.8 million new smartphone
users
A competitive marketplace is emerging. This year, e-commerce
big hitters such as eBay, Rakuten, and Rocket Internet have
invested heavily in their Indonesian market presence. Top local
brick-and- mortar retailers such as MAP are also jumping on
trend.

Social media craze in Indonesia From 1.4 billion Facebook users
worldwide, Indonesia ranked 4th in the world with 65 million active
users. Even popular brands in Indonesia are market their
commercials with a link to Like their Facebook page. Twitter is one
of the fastest growing public companies with 44% growth in 2013.
With about 150 million active users,Instagram is growing importance

World Social media stats 2014 A new study has found that teen
usage of Facebook has seen a small decline, but there is little
evidence to suggest that the social network is 'dead and buried' as
suggested by a previous UCL study. This chart shows the percentage
change in millions of active users of all ages, between Q2 and Q4
2013
Facebook is still used by 48.5 per cent of 16 to 19-year-olds
globally on a monthly basis. This graphic shows the popularity of
different social networks for different age groups, with Tumblr

The number of people using social network apps on their phones
and tablets is still slightly less than those accessing the
websites on their PCs and laptops, but mobile networkers are among

expected to reach 3 billion. Two-thirds come from the population in
developing countries.
Latest Socially Devoted quarterly analysis on the state of
social care, show some great improvement for social customer care
on Facebook. In Q1 of 2014, it is shows an increase in peoples
response time to brands questions on Facebook, and a sizeable
increase (7%+) in brands overall response rate to people on
Facebook.
An Outbrain survey which pulled data from its global network of
100,000 sites, has just listed the city-state as the least engaged
crowd when it comes to paid content. Australians, on the other
hand, are considered the most receptive. The data considered paid
content bounce rates which listed Australia (-3 per cent), the
Philippines, (-0.5 per cent) and India (-0.4 per cent) higher than
the US average, while Indonesia (+2 per cent), Malaysia (+2 per
cent) and Singapore (+4 per cent) have higher bounce rates. Survey
