Plaster is used in construction applications of

the interior due to its capacity to absorb air-

borne sounds. It is also fire resistant and

produces low levels of nontoxic smoke during

fires

Bricks are used on the restaurant walls because of their ability to stand the weight of the roof and can absorb rain and frost without losing strength

SPACIAL ANALYSIS

I chose my space on the first floor of the mall. It is a

corridor, with two restaurants and a cosmetic shop

The reason I chose this space is because of the various

number of materials that are used in the designing of the

area and the good and attractive feeling at this part of the

mall

The reason for the use of the materials in this area for

construction is because of the activities that are taking

place that majorly require easy maintenance, strong

enough to stand heavy foot traffic and materials that are

stain resistant

Looking at this space makes me feel attracted and

interested to know more about the restaurants and even

want to test the food sold in the restaurants. The space

basically has an attractive feeling

1 Monti Kiara is an integrated commercial and

residential building. It is named One Mont Kiara to

reflect its development concept of work, play and live in

one location. It is located at jalan Kiara, Monti Kiara in

Kuala Lumpur.

The reason for the choice of this site is because of the

specific and unlimited amount of building materials that

are used specifically used in Monti Kiara mall and

scarcely found in other commercial buildings

It is an interesting building with a lot of activities taking

place at a time like the shopping, dining, playing games

and many others.
