d)        Characters:The main character in my game will be Ulfir which is the protagonist who the player will play as, the other characters in the game will be the NPC's such as the traders and the enemies, the enemies will range from different bandits raiders and psychos and clans throughout the raiders. The other characters in the game will be characters like companions who the main character the

player chooses if he wants them to follow him. The enemies in the game will have different classes for example there may be a type of enemy, which could be a suicide bomber and run towards the enemy with grenades, which will detonate and kill the player and the enemy. There will be another class, which will be big with heavy armour and a deadly melee weapon, which would be difficult for the player to defeat. There will be a typical enemy, which will run around with a gun and will be quite easy to defeat.

e)        Non-playing characters (NPC):The monsters in the game are NPC’s as they are enemies, Bandits in the game, which will try to steal from your party if they defeat you in battle, Bosses are also NPC’s. Your army in the game or allies are NPC’s.

f)         Feedback:One way that the game shows the feedback to the player is by rewarding them with items and new weapons for completing quests, these weapons do more damage and allow them to kill enemies quicker. Another way that the game feeds back to the player is by as they progress through the levels the enemies will get tougher and more difficult presenting more of a challenge. Furthermore when the player gets attacked the player will receive damage and their health will be reduced and eventually when the players health gets to zero the player will die and a death screen will appear, this will tell the player that they were defeated and did something wrong.

g)        Interface:I want my game to feature a health bar and a stamina bar so that the player knows what health they are on if they have enough stamina to attack. The interface also shows what weapons that the player is using. There will be a death screen for the player when they die allowing them to retry again so they can continue through the level. Furthermore another interface option is the inventory where the player can swap out the items that they have in case they want to change them or just store them, for example if the player wanted to use another weapon but store their other one in their inventory they can. In addition, another interface is the map that shows the area of the level and all of the different places that the player can go.

h)        Perspectives:The perspective for my game will be 2D so that the player can only move two ways, this makes it a simple perspective, I think 2D hack and slash games work very well so that is why I have chosen the game to be 2D. I don’t want the game to be complex so that is why I have made it a 2D hack and slash game furthermore it makes it fun and also allows for more detail to be put in the game as it is a 2D game it is more compact.

i)         Full-Motion Video (FMV):The motion video for my game will be like a cut scene, this will advertise the game and show of what the game looks like and how it plays. The trailer will show off a lot of things about the game such as how the combat works, this could intrigue the players and make them want to play as it may look fun, it could show of the story of the game to get an idea of what it is about and the different characters. The Full motion video will also show the characters off and which ones the players may like, as the players are looking at what their different motives are.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRHw4YaiLgA&t=7s

Another error message which could be encountered by the player could be, the game has stopped responding this is caused by if the game crashes which could be caused by too many things in the game happening at once a way around this error could be to restart the game, so the game will load up again without the error message.

Troubleshooting

Page 13: Unit 72 my computer game user guide (1) (4)

Furthermore, another error which the player could encounter which could be due to the disc, the game will not launch due to the game disc has a scratch on it or it is to dirty for the data on the disc to be read, the way to fix this is to clean the disc so the data can be read by the console.

Another error message for the game could be that the saved data and file could be corrupt, this error occurs if the game is not exited properly or by turning of the game console whilst the game is saving. To fix this error you will need to either start the game again or load the game from a previous save point.

In addition another error could be that whilst the game is trying to install or update you may be confronted with an error which says there is not enough storage for the game to be able to be stored on the memory unit. To fix this the player will make some storage on the console by deleting other things that are taking up the memory.

Another error code and issue with the game could be error: 32002 this error means that the player is not connected to the internet to install a game update which is required for the game, a way to fix this is to reconnect to the internet so that the update can finish installing.

In Remnants of Insanity you play as a young man named Ulfir, who lives in the land of Skelacia, Skelacia is a wasteland of bones and remains of giant sentient creatures who lived thousands of years ago no one actually knows what happened to the giant beasts. In Skelacia there is no laws or government, everyone lives the way they want to doing whatever they want, metal is the currency which can be used to buy necessities of stationed and wandering traders. People live in the bones of the creatures who are long gone, the inhabitants of Skelacia carve entrances and windows into the bones to create their own living place. There are clans throughout the wasteland which take everything for themselves but as no one can stop due to there being no government, people must purchase weapons or even create them, most of the time they are created through the bones of the creatures to protect themselves from the ruthless factions. Creatures inhabit the wasteland other than the skeletal remains of the sentient creatures, the people who live in Skelacia also have to protect themselves from the things that lurk in the night. No one goes into the wasteland at night if they want to keep their lives as people who have gone outside at night have never returned they just add to the pile of skeletal remains.

Ulfir who lives in his house which he calls Iron Tusk he calls it thing as his house is on the tip of a large tusk which is from one of the ancient beasts. Ulfir lives on his own collecting the bones of the beasts to create into furniture and weapons which he sells for metal to be able to afford food and rare materials to be crafted into powerful weapons. Ulfir was brought up by a group of bandits until the age of 10 where he was then left in the middle of Skelacia's wasteland to die. He survived through learning about the wasteland for himself, finding shelter under skeletal remains, hunting creatures for food and drinking from any water that he can find. He is now a grown adult who finds it hard to trust new people due to what happened to him, he likes to live by himself as he only has to take care of himself.

Ulfir has now been attacked and has had his house raided and burnt to the ground, he has been taken hostage by the Blood Lust clan who are known for being a pack of psychopathic cannibals. The blood lust clan plan to eat Ulfir and everyone they come across who isn't one of their own, Ulfir manages to break away from the clan and hide. Ulfir the player has had enough of the Blood Lusts terrorizing and destroying people’s lives, he takes upon himself to prepare himself for war against them by creating weapons from the wasteland and anything that can give him an advantage, it is now the players job to take revenge and recruit people to help Ulfir in the fight to eliminate the Blood lusts from Skelacia.
