Spend time, connect with yourself. Take yourself to a place you like, listen to the music enjoy, have a cup of coffee or a drink whatever makes you happy. Then go through some of the things we have discussed here.

One of the biggest challenge in work environment is to have effective and constant feedback. This feedback usually comes in the form of major consequences or career setbacks for us, leaving us with no or little time to respond. To prevent such crisis like situations, we need to actively seek feedback, not just from the bosses, but from our peers, and direct reports alsos

We have to regulate the projection of our HERO. It needs to be balanced with the situation and the people. If we see a contradiction between hero and brand, it may be due to over or under play of the HERO.

Have Mentors

Not necessarily because you want to change job, but to raise awareness. Put a task on your calendar every quarter to review how the JDs are trending in your SERVICES domain.

We must develop 1 new service every 6 months. That would make 2 new service a year and gives a good bet of progressing in career.

This is one thing that differentiates a top performer with an average one. Look around, no successful athlete or artists succeeds without a mentor/coach

The best place to offer our gift could be our current employer. We often ignore the opportunities of recognition and growth at our current workplace. Offer your gift unconditionally and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the fulfilment and response you’ll receive.

Connect with 5 people at Symposium. Know them well and have them also know about you. Share what gift and service you offer, what help you need from others and how you could help others in promoting their gift and services.

How do I find a platform where I can offer my gift and meet new people? Look for a volunteer organization where you can find like-minded people. Stay connected with the +ve people – or else, you’ll go back to the hamster wheel and lose the desire and energy to add value.
