I was born in 1985 in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I graduated from Penn State University in 2007with a bachelor’s degree in English.

During my time at PSU, I was part of a group of students that formed

Central Pennsylvania Community Housing to provide sustainable,

socially- and environmentally-

responsible housing…

…and to spread those values to the community

at-large.

I’m proud to say that the it still continues strong to this day!

After graduating, I immediately beganworking as a copyeditor at the

National Network of Digital Schools.

I’ve worked for their publishing brand Lincoln Interactive, a digital curriculum line for grades 5-12, for the past 4 years.

Six months into the job, I was promoted to Editing & Publications

Coordinator

In this position…• I managed and directed a

team of five to seven full- and part-time editors, as well as freelance editors and writers.

• I initiated the creation of the first Lincoln Interactive house style guide. Other teams in the company were inspired and did the same for their teams.

• I worked with a small, select team to reorganize department workflow, establishing a system of checks and balances to reduce losses.

In September 2009, I relinquished my Coordinator position (staying on as a copyeditor) to move to Brooklyn,

head to grad school, and pursuemy interests in public policy.

Fall 2010, I enrolled atMilano The New School for Management and Urban Policy.

I anticipate to graduate Spring 2012, with a Master of Science degree in

Urban Policy Analysis and Management.
