• LoveBug3 Contest: Giving away a new 21st
century Beetle to a deserving individual and a local non-profit
• Challenge: Differentiate this contest from the past two and take the LoveBug website to the next level
• Concept: Create online series with FVVW mascot

• Directed, produced, and filmed series
• Shot on location at all 18 non-profits participating in contest
• Created ongoing storyboard to go beyond contest for other FVVW promotions and events

• Challenge: Create an image outlaying the global effect possible, using YA and DRD brand colors and standards

Client: Fox Valley Volkswagen with two locations in the Chicagoland area
Challenge: Our challenge was two-fold: creating a way to bring brand recognition to the Volkswagen dealerships with localized campaigns along with the introduction of a new location in the Chicagoland market.

Case Study:
Client:Mario Tricoci is a full service hair salon and day spa located throughout the Midwest.
Challenge: Mario Tricoci was starting to lose ground to some of the competitor brands within the 18-24 age range. They needed to revitalize the brand and target a younger demographic.

Case Study:
Client:The Chicago Virtual Charter School uses the K¹² curriculum to offer Chicago students in grades K-12 an exceptional learning experience virtually and in person.
Challenge: The Chicago Virtual Charter School was in need of a hub where teachers and faculty could log in and update student information, attendance and grades. The pre-existing process was time consuming, inefficient and in need of some fine-tuning.
So Desert Rose Design was hired to build a web-based application capable of housing all of this information in real-time. At the end of a semester, teachers could produce attendance and progress reports with the click of a button.

Results:
• The Grade Book Tool has saved the administrative team over 300 hours each semester creating progress reports
• The tool fostered an improvement in communication with the families, particularly between teachers and parents
• Teachers are now able to focus more on teaching rather than on collecting information and maintaining their own individual records
• Progress report accuracy has increased; uploading information sent from CPS outlets eliminates double-entry in multiple formats and lowers the margin of error.
