TYPE OF MAGAZINE For my regional magazine, I have chosen to base it on the city of

Birmingham in regards to what there is to see and do there My target audience/demographic is young adults aged 18 to 30 years old.

I have chosen this as I think there aren’t many regional magazines which are specifically targeted or tailored towards that demographic

The areas in which I have decided to base my magazine are:1. Food and Drink2. Lifestyle3. Entertainment4. News5. Events

FRONT COVER

• The main cover line will mention the top 10 destinations/attractions in Birmingham

• The other cover lines will mention current events going on in the city etc.

• I have chosen to keep my front cover fairly simplistic to give it a more modern feel, which I believe will appeal to my target audience/demographic

CONTENTS I have kept my contents page

relatively simple, as I feel that overcomplicating it would confuse my target audience

On the left hand side, I will include editorial information about the magazine as well as links to the magazine’s social media accounts

Regarding the articles, I will include a short description about what each specific article is about along with the page number

ADVERT

• I have chosen to do an advert instead of a double page spread because since younger people go out more, having an advert for a recently opened restaurant makes more sense as thorough this advert, people will be inclined to come visit it

• The addition of a 20% discount voucher gives an incentive for younger people to come into the restaurant

ARTICLE As this edition of the

magazine is based on what there is to see and do in Birmingham, this article will be about Birmingham’s most famous attractions (ranked from 1 to 10)

I will include a ‘collage’ of pictures of attractions from Birmingham in order to make my article look more appealing and professional to my target audience
