Disney Break Through

• March 24th 2006 Hanna Montana premiered on Disney channel and quickly became the most successful Disney channel series of all time.

• The Hannah Montana series was hugely pushed by Disney's multimedia holdings at the time.

• Dolly Parton (Mileys god mother) signed her a deal with the Morey Management Group

• Mileys first charting song was the theme tune to the Hannah Montana series – making it to 92 in the American charts and 43 in the UK

• She Also opened for the Cheetah girls on their US tour

• She reached number one in the US charts for the first time with a cover of ‘zip-a-dee-doo-dah” which is just so bad….

Reaching the top of Disney Mountain• For the second season of Hannah Montana, Miley signed a four

album deal with Disney owned Hollywood records

• Later that year she embarked on her first world tour with the ‘Best Of Both Wolrds Tour’ with the Jonas Brothers – Disney later released a 3D film of the consert which brought in over $31 million

• In 2009 the Hannah Montana movie came out which contained 12 songs peformed by cyrus

• She then moved into her young adult image phase with the release of party in the USA and another World Tour

• She then took a break from music to focus on her acting carrerr

The Tumble…

• Ending her contract with Hollywood Records she released her first album with RCA records, ‘Bangerz’. This became successful because of its shock factor along with the lead song ‘Wrecking Ball’ which led to world wide humiliation for the once ‘innocent’ pop teen.

• She then sharply changed her image again to a more acoustic version, remaking some of the songs on the album with a more tame videos
