For the past two years, from January 2010 to December 2012, I lived at 1288 Ballantrae Farm Drive in McLean, Virginia. I was there to take care of my long-time good friend, Joseph E. Robert, Jr., who was suffering from terminal brain cancer and passed away December 7, 2011.

During the entire time I was staying at Joe’s residence, Lauretta Rosado was the estate manager, managing Joe’s six acre estate with three homes, a full-time staff, and many amenities. Lauretta was always available - before, during and after business hours – to take care of what needed taking care of. There are always things that need attention on a large estate with a very active owner. There were the regular items to take care of, as well as a long list of non-recurring items that came up very frequently. Lauretta was always available to take care of things or to make certain that someone else was taking care of things. Very often, Lauretta would anticipate what needed to be taken care of and she would take care of it. In every instance, Lauretta handled her work and herself in a first class and professional manner. In my experience, Lauretta worked with the highest integrity at all times

In addition to managing the estate, Lauretta was always aware of Joe’s condition, day to day, and went above and beyond the call of duty to whatever she could to make sure Joe was comfortable and had the amenities and staff around him as needed.
