According to NACE, in 2011, companies surveyed indicated that more than 58% of their
new hires were interns at their company
42.3 percent of college seniors who had internship experience and applied for a job received at least one job
offer VERSES 30.7 percent without internship experience .
Internships increase your chance of getting a job
Survey results show the median accepted salary offer for students with an internship was $45,301
That’s nearly 31 percent higher than the $34,601 median accepted salary offer to non-intern students
ManpowerGroup reports that 52% of U.S. employers surveyed say they have difficulty filling positions
because of talent shortages

• Full day of video gaming, problem solving competition hosted by Design Collaborative, a regional robotics competition, guest speakers, employers, universities, and others
• Open to all Northeast Indiana High School’s to bring a team of students to compete. Teachers, parents, and community members are able to come as observers
• March 10, 2012
• To be held at the Lantern Reception Hall
TechCAMP12• Week-long camp geared towards high school
students• Opportunity to see many local companies and
learn more about need skills for specific careers
• Compete in a team oriented problem-solving competition
Speakers Bureau
• Provides contacts for teachers to professionals interested in presenting to students
• GRP can present information on many subjects related to professionalism, resume writing, interview skills, internships, social media etiquette and much more
