Here Is A Quote From The Famous Movie, Silence Of The Lambs

Hannibal Lecter: No. We begin by coveting what we see every day. Don’t you feel eyes moving over your body, Clarice? And don’t

your eyes seek out the things you want?

Man’s nature is to covet. We all desire food and water, however, desires

present beyond that.

Food And Water Are Simple Desires. However, Man’s Desire Can Become Much More Complex.

• A professor may desire to discover a new theory, or to get the praise of his colleagues.

• An athlete may desire a huge victory.

• The businessman may desire wealth.

• The politician may desire to get elected to a high office.

Child Stars, Who Were So Successful At A Young Age Often Falter As Adults Because Of the Effects Of Desire And The Urge to Fill It. The Following Report Is Just One Example Of This.

“Former child star Macaulay Culkin was arrested on drug charges Friday during a traffic stop, authorities said. The 24-year-old actor, best known for his role in the

Home Alone movies, was taken into custody on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription, and for possession of

Macauly, Like Many Child Actors, Appears To Have Been Chasing Happiness Through The One Of The Only Means He Can At This Point In His Life.

Drugs are a short term method to dealing with unhappiness.

Despite this, since we are all wired to try and create happiness, people often abuse them

for that purpose.

The Problem Is: Most Of Us Never Find Ourselves In A State Of True Contentment

We waste so much time searching for happiness, and then not experiencing it

when we find it.

When we say we desire a fancy car, or lots of money, or a high status, we really mean

something much more spiritual and deeper.

It Is These Basic Things That We Truly Want:

• Family.• Happiness.• Wisdom.• Freedom from anxiety.• To make a contribution.• Freedom.• Health.• Love.

These things are intangible, and you cannot possess them like you would a

I Am Always Fascinated By The Portrayals Of Addicts In The Media.

They will do whatever they need to, to get their fix. They do whatever it takes only to

move towards a form of happiness that comes and goes.

What fascinates me is that this behavior, in essence is no different than what the rest of

us are doing in our everyday lives.

People Are Always Searching For Happiness

We want to be emotionally fulfilled.

We want to be fulfilled in our careers.

And we want an ultimate feeling of sustained happiness.

We want to ALWAYS be happy.

Consider This During Your Job Search:

If you can comprehend the significance of searching and desire, then you can find happiness

in your career.

When we are doing what we love for a living, we enter into another dimension of happiness. This is

a sustained sort of happiness.

Time just stands still.

When We Are Doing Something That We Truly Love, We Become Engaged, And We Grow As People

Doing something that we love allows for us to quit seeking happiness like the addict, and allows us to truly settle down, and

enjoy our time here on Earth.
