I’m  Daring I landed my first freelance gig through a simple introduction on

MySpace (remember that place?). That gig was with 21MC.

21mc: an indie hit!

M.I.A., Afrikan Boy, James Spooner, J*Davey were just a few celebrity fans. Through these fans 21mc was

featured prominently in a nike ad, featured by zoe whitley, curator of the victoria & Albert museum in

london, and cross-branded artist merchandise for musical acts.

I’m Active Sitting behind a desk all day doesn’t necessarily get the job

done, you’ve got to be active. I meet with people face-to-face

and I like exploring communities in-person. I learned the

importance of this at ravenswood city school district.

I entered RCSD as a student in 1993. 18 years later, I became an employee.

Working in Public Education is the closest I’ll ever get to being a celebrity.

As community outreach specialist, I helped engage families by improving

school-home communication and bridging east palo alto and surrounding

communities.

Here are a few organizations I collaborated with: (*denotes organization also donated money to the district as a result of collaboration)

Other Highlights:

• Implemented the district-wide auto-dialer system (hello 21st century)

• raised over $1.5M in cash and in-kind donations • Increased parent involvement by over 40%

• created & managed a middle school enrichment program

• Planned and lead quarterly district-wide family events for over

2,000 families

I’m creative And creativity breeds innovation (I also design things too. And I painted this slide background)

Most recently, I executive produced & co-wrote “boomerangs”--a comedic web series. It

centers around 3 post-grads forced back into their parent’s homes due to the lack of

financial stability.

It’s basically the story of my generation.

I’m honest I am the anti-hypebeast.

I don’t believe in making you join whatever latest social media craze “the

kids” are into. I challenge my own ideas and critique my critiques. I own up

to mistakes when they are made.

I’m entrepreneurial

i learn everything I can to stay three steps ahead of the competition. Always.

In 2008, I co-founded a music blog with

two friends.

The blog became a big hit in atlanta, so we decided to make a print zine...

...and then we decided to do a music festival, too.
