1. The minimum wage for an apprentice is £2.65. (16-18 yr old)

2. They must work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

3. To be called an apprenticeship they must be enrolled in training courses.

4. If between the age of 16-18 the Government will pay all the training course fees.

5. The government is also currently offering a £1500 grant paid in installment for companies that take on an apprentice which haven't previously!!!
