Do's By Interviewee

Dress properly for the job interview.

Wear a decent formal pant and light color shirt.

Arrive 10-15 minutes early before the scheduled time.

Ask for the permission to enter the interview room and greet the employer with a smile.

Do ask some questions related to your applied job. This will show your interest in the position.

Don'ts By Interviewee

Don’t depend on your job application to get you hired.

 Don’t interact with the employer as if you are not in need of the job and you have plenty of offers in a row.

 Stay calm and answer the interview questions properly and carefully.

 Do not chew a gum during the interview.

 This shouldn't have to be said: Don't bite your fingernails. Don't touch your face or hair or adjust your clothing.

Do's By Interviewer

Ask the candidate how he or she would solve a realistic job – related problem.

Ask what the person is looking for in a new job and why those factors are important.

During the interview, look for candidates who have the achiever pattern.

Carefully Dig out how he figure out the problem and put a plan together.

Don'ts By Interviewer

If you go by first impressions you may end up hiring people who make great first impressions but are not competent.

Don’t ask out-dated questions.

Force yourself to delay any possible yes or no decision untill you review the person in depth.

Even the much-loved curve-ball questions have little or nothing to do with whether the person across the desk from you is a great hire.
