The beginning of the trailer stereotypically shows the institutional logo, editing technique of bad TV then fuzzing and transitioning to a horror version of the institutional logo. We did this as in conventional horror movies, a horror version of the institutional logo is used to promote and emphasise on the genre. The editing technique of bad TV was also used to promote the genre using sound.

A fade out and in transition is used to show a simple setting shot to reinforce the horror genre and set the tone.

A fade out and in is used to go into a crab shot which reinforces the idea of mystery and destination. The dark lighting reinforces the dark horror atmosphere and creates enigma as we are wondering where this person is going and who they are.

My next shot shows some non-linear narrative. As she is the first person we see it gives the idea that she is the possible antagonist of the movie. We wanted the setting the be somewhere that seemed abandoned to give the idea of a secret lair and I think we accomplished this. The footage is hand held, to give a small camera shake to create enigma, the audience are wondering if the protagonist is filming her. The only sound used is the dialogue.

The next shot is the first subtitle featured in the trailer. We use the effect of Bad TV once again to reinforce the horror genre and to keep consistency in sound effects through the trailer. This subtitles using movie appeal as it tells the audience what movies have been made by the same makers, the audience therefore will base whether they will like the film on those films. Popular films are usually used to ensure this.

The next shot is a short narrative of our first ‘victim’. We use a effect which fades the corners of the corners, this is used to indicate that we are in the point of view of the protagonist and the girl is being watched and followed. High key lighting is used which is challenging thru stereotype of thru whole of horror movies being filmed in low key lighting. We used high key lighting to show that no one is safe, as in typical horror movies night time is used to emphasise that something bad is about to happen. Simple eerie music is used as well to simply fit the atmosphere.

A jumps cut is used to used to allow us to smoothly show her whole travel to the car without it too long.

A subtitle using the same typography and style is used again using with a metal sound that is consistently used. The sound links with the idea of the protagonists metal knife. It also therefore links with my movie poster which has knife scratches on it. 'you can‘t escape’ is simply building up anticipation, making the audience want to know more and more about the protagonist.

We show another simple action shot, to which we show a slight zoom into what the girl is doing, to show her actions and reinforce some editing techniques.

Once the girl is in car, we use the infamous 'someone hiding in the back of the car‘ scene. We use a similar metal sound to indicate this is a significant scene.

A simple cut is used to show the next scene. This is of s girl going to wash her hands and when going to look in the mirror she see’s there is writing on the mirror. 'you're on the list’ which indicates that this is a message from the protagonist. The use of lipstick shows our protagonist is a girl which is our biggest challenge through our movie as the protagonist is usually a girl.

A simple quick cut is used again to go onto the next scene which is of our next victim. The same eerie movie is played throughout, to not distract the trailer but simple emphasise on the genre and eerie affect.

Yet another subtitle is used, reusing the metal scratching sound along with the effect of bad TV, to create consistency in branding throughout the trailer. The subtitle is also used to break up the narrative and movement of the runner.

We then go back to the narrative which uses another metal scratching sound to indicate something bad is happening. The girl is dragged on the floor to show she is part of the list. Enigma is created as the audience are wondering why does the protagonist want all these people. Once again we filmed in daylight to show that no one is safe ever.

We then go to a scene which links very much to the metal sound used as it is featuring the protagonists weapon, which is scraping on the wall. Audience members will also seen how this links with the poster and magazine cover as on the poster scratched appear over the protagonist to hide the identity. Also the weapon appears on the magazine too.

We then go back to the girl at the beginning, who has hour first speech in the trailer, which we did to be iconic as what she says will be remembered as it is the only speech. We go back to the look of camera shake to create enigma whether the protagonist is filming her herself. As she is the last person we see in the trailer we begin to believe the final girl theory. She is the final theory making us definitely believe she is the antagonist of the film.

We finally see the title of the movie using the same font style and effect of bad TV to finally reinforce the branding used. The text also links to the text used on the poster which shows this is the branding typography.

We shown the final girl screaming with the camera zoomed in her face, to give the audience a final look at what they will be expecting and to also reinforce horror connotations.

Lastly, we have the conventional intertitle which tells the audience the movie is coming soon. It also gives the audience a website they can go to in order to find more out. A Facebook and twitter page is also used to allow the audience to find out more and get involved if they want to.
