Clay / Plaster Artist

Nick MackmanThese are 2 clay sculptures, one being of a polar bear, and the other being of a rabbit. I like these 2 pieces as they look realistic, and the effects on both e.g. the fur texture created with the clay, looks accurate. She aims to give each animal sculpture its own personality. Many of her subjects are highly endangered and she seeks to enlighten us to their beauty.

Clarence CameronCameron focuses on creating clay sculptures on owls. He also uses different materials, but still aims towards creating owls from them. I like both these pieces as he clearly portrays the feathers on the owl through the plaster, and has gave the owl faces realistic features.

Brian Hollingworth

Brain uses clay for most of his work. However he also used bronze material. These 2 pieces, one of a chicken and the other of a rabbit, I like the chicken piece as the effects portrayed through the clay look clear and define the animal, and the for the piece with the rabbit, I like how it is positioned e.g. looks realistic.

Roger Hjorleifson

These are 2 pieces made from plaster. One is based around a crocodile, and the other is based around a bearded dragon lizard. I like the textures given on each as they make the reptiles look relate and its features implied through the plaster highlight well the reptile that it is e.g. lizard, crocodile. Rodger works mostly with clay and likes to focus his work on reptiles.

Guy HolderGuy is well none for creating bird sculptures with plaster. I like the piece with the owls as the effects on the owls e.g. the white plaster marks around the owls eyes, imply the features of owl.

Also I like the piece wit the birds as their colours stand out and the features added to their chest stand out.

Anderson StudioThese are plaster sculptures of 2 different types of birds made by Anderson Studio. I like the effects on the first piece as the feather features added on the dove look realistic and stand out.

On the second piece, I like the clear blue colour added in parts as this portrays which bird this is e.g. blue tit.
