Canada FSTP

To apply under Canada FSTP one should have work experience in the one of the skilled trade occupations and has to satisfy certain additional requirements.

This Program accepts not more than 5,000 applications on the whole and not more than 100 applications per eligible occupation with effect from 1 May 2014.

Canada FSTP (Federal Skilled Trades Program) is for the people with experience in a skilled trade and who are willing to settle in Canada permanently.

Canada FSTP 90 eligible occupations List

Major Group 72: Industrial, electrical and construction trades

Major Group 73: Maintenance and equipment operation trades

Major Group 82: Supervisors and technical occupations in national resources, agriculture and related production

Major Group 92: Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators

Minor Group 632: chefs and cooks Minor Group 633: butchers and bakers

Requirements for Canada FSTP:

Fulfill the job requirements for the chosen skilled trade as indicated in the NOC

Has a full time employment offer for not less than one year or should have a eligibility certificate in the chosen skilled trade issued under the territorial or provincial body

One must certainly plan to live outside Quebec province

Must fulfill the necessary levels in either French or English to prove language proficiency

Must have a minimum experience of two years or an equal amount in part time within the previous five years prior to application filing

Test for languages in Canada FSTP

Applicants have to fulfill the minimum language requirement for either French or English in each of the following

Listening Speaking Reading Writing In order to fulfill the minimum language requirements the

applicants have to take a test through an organization that is authorized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and has to include the test results with the application.
