Body Language: 3 Quick Tips for Business People

This short presentation is the TED-style talk I gave at a client's year-end event. In it, I offer three quick tips for business people when it comes to maximising body language. These are: getting the all-important hand shake right, effectively mirroring others' gestures and posture, and dealing with the phenomenon known as 'bitchy resting face'.

TIPS FOR A GOOD

HANDSHAKE:1. Fingers together; thumb up and open.

2. Slide your hand into the other person's.

3. The web of skin between each person’s

thumb and forefinger should touch.

4. Squeeze firmly for about three seconds.

5. Pump once or twice from the elbow.

6. Release after the handshake.

7. Don’t forget to make good eye contact.
