1 SUB-GROUP CHARTER PURPOSE

The sub-group charter provides the chapter leadership and its membership a single document that describes the young professionals initiatives and the goals of its committee.

2 YOUNG PROFESSIONALS BACKGROUND:

[Excerpted from Young Professionals page on ASIS international webpage] The Young Professionals Group is an exciting new initiative within ASIS International. This special forum was created in 2010 to establish a comfortable environment both for ASIS members new to security and for future leaders to engage in ASIS programs and activities. The group's core mission is to develop and educate young careerists in the security industry. The ASIS Young Professionals Group holds as their mission the development and education of young careerists in the security industry. This group is open to those new to the profession, starting a second career, and open to anyone passionate about our Young Professional mission. Our group is established upon high standards for members, ethical conduct, quality offerings, and a progressive program for the development of young professionals. Membership While a young professional is typically defined as a member who is less than 40 years of age or who has spent fewer than five years in the security profession, we encourage participation from anyone passionate about this initiative, regardless of age or experience. Benefits of Group Participation

Strategic networking – Build your professional network by meeting other young professionals and industry leaders.

Valuable mentoring – Grow and strengthen your career with the guidance of established ASIS member practitioners.

Targeted education – Acquire new knowledge and information relevant to your career through customized educational forums.

Enhanced communication – Keep updated on the latest in ASIS initiatives.
