These pictures show the age representation of the two characters. Mark is boss and John is the employee. The age representation is that John is a dedicated worker to the business and has been working there for a long time whereas Mark has just walked into the business and already has one of the top jobs in the business. John feels that because Mark is telling him what to do that he is not being respected right. So the fact that because John has been there longer than Mark annoys him that Mark has been given the best job where he believes he should have been given a promotion.
