Walking takes you away from your desk (literally) and allows your mind to relax and think about things besides work.
And the physical activity doesn’t hurt either.
Also, a recent study suggests that it can improve mood and enthusiasm and ease nervousness at work.
In fact, due to our ultradian rhythm, our brains can only truly focus on something for 90 to 120 minutes at a time.
So even if you steer clear of others when you’re sick, the potential to infect others is still there.
If you are sick, stay home and rest so germs don’t spread.
While at work, wash your hands and keep your desk clean — toss that coffee mug in the dishwasher every night!
Staring at a computer screen all day can be hard on the eyes, so rub your hands together quickly to generate heat then put them over your closed eyes.
Still can’t seem to unwind? The University of Maryland Medical Center suggests taking vitamin C to help lower the physical and mental effects of stress.
