There are 721 singles among 1,265 people joined surveys have monthly saving habit, account for 57.0%.

Percentage of savings over total monthly personal income is around 10% - 20% on average, quite similar between male and female.

More than 42 out of 100 surveyed singles put away 10% - 20% of their total personal income monthly (42.4%).

The average amount of savings cited by surveyed singles are mostly under 1.000.000 VND, account for 52.7%.

There was not clearly difference of saving proportion over total income between male & female singles.

There are 57.7% surveyed people said that they often put away money as Prepare for emergency cases. The second reason is that they

would like to go Shopping freely when they desire, account for 44.4%. 38.8% also revealed that saving has become one of their habits.

4. Money saving reasons [SA] (n=721)

When look at the reasons for thrift by gender, there is an interesting fact that 40.1% male save money for Getting married. Whereas this

reason only scores 6th among all reasons of female and account for 27.8%.

Not buy unnecessary things (76.6%), Cut down on frequency of outside eating (57.7%) and Buy sale-off products (51.3%) are

top 3 methods that surveyed people often apply to help them saving money.

There is totally no different between male and female for top 2 saving money methods. However, for the third method, while male choose

Curbing their own desire (50.1%), female decide to Buy sale-off products instead (53.9%).

In general, respondents have knowledge on different investment channels. While Stock market is considered as potentially lucrative

investment channel (56.3%), SavingsBook, Gold Market and Real Estate are perceived as channels that generate average profitability,

with 46.4%, 54.0% and 44.2% in turn.

In general, respondents cited that they have enough knowledge on different investment channels when making decision, and average

respective rate for each channel is over 60%.

mostly refer their Own Knowledge for Create SavingsBook at Banks (58.9%), Information from internet for Gold Market (54.0%)

and Advice from financial experts for Stock Market and Real Estate, respectively account for 59.2% and 53.5%.
