WiBro Market AnalysisWiBro Market Analysis
■ In Korea wireless internet service is mainly used for entertainment (58%),
communication (email/café 17.6%) and business (9.3%).
■ Cellular service has the demerits such as insufficient data rates, high tariff system and WLAN
has
several shortcomings such as service coverage and QoS problems in spite of high speed data
rate
and low tariff system.
■ Customer needs of WiBro service is high speed data rate and low tariff system, which are the
accelerating factor for widespread use of wireless internet.
