We Know Workers Compensation

As part of our service plan, MCRA reviews all workers compensation modifications for accuracy. In doing

so, our sales executive was able to secure a substantial premium savings for a large distributor client.

After the original modification was completed by the New York State Workers Compensation Board and

the insured was facing an $803,000 premium, our sales executive took a closer look.

By reviewing the insured’s data, the sales executive was confident the premium would be reduced if the

State Board included documentation from a prior insurance carrier, which was not originally incorporated

in the modification.

In order to accomplish this, our sales executive had to gather payroll and claims data and manually file

the paperwork to the Workers Compensation Board on the insured’s behalf. Our sales executive was

able to convince the board to reissue the modification—including the additional data this time—ultimately

resulting in a $65,300 reduction in the insured’s premium.
