Vietnam LED Market Driven By Government Endorsement of Modern LED Lights
IMARC group has recently published a new report on Vietnam LED market titled “Vietnam LED Market (SMDLEDs, Modules and Fixtures) – Industry Trends, Manufacturing Process, Plant Setup, Machinery, RawMaterials, Cost and Revenue”. In Vietnam, the application of LED technology was initially limited to trafficlights and in the advertising industry. But the many advantages of LED over conventional lighting technologieshave expanded its applications in various other sectors as well. LED bulbs are now replacing incandescent andfluorescent bulbs all across Vietnam. According to the report, the market grew at a CAGR of around 55%during 2008–2015.
Over the past few years, the Vietnam LED market has witnessed exponential growth due to a rapidurbanization, infrastructural development and government’s endorsement of modern LED lights. Moreover,the increasing government regulations for energy savings has led the lighting industry in Vietnam to shiftfrom conventional lighting products to energy efficient LED lighting products. The government stimulates theuse of LEDs through two major projects: Vietnam Energy Efficient Public Lighting Project (VEEPL) and VietnamNational Energy Efficiency Plan (VNEEP). Implementation of these projects will ensure lower energyconsumption by replacing the prevailing lighting system with LED lighting. Thus, Vietnam proves to be alucrative option for domestic as well as foreign investors who wants to invest in the LED market.
Over the last few years, the Vietnam LED market has witnessed exponential growth due to a rapid urbanization, infrastructural development and the government’s endorsement of modern LED lights.
